At Millennium, we pride ourselves on our continued partnership with Melbourne University, a relationship that has strengthened over the past five years. A key milestone in this collaboration has been the successful execution of two major crane lifts at the iconic Building 105, completed in coordination with our trusted partners, AG Coombs.

The project involved the meticulous removal and installation of critical mechanical infrastructure, including 6 large chillers, 2 cooling towers, and 10 heating pumps. These essential components are vital to the building’s heating and cooling systems, ensuring the efficient and sustainable operation of the university’s facilities.

To accomplish this, Millennium utilized a 250-ton crane provided by Advanced Cranes, ensuring the heavy lifting was handled with precision. To maintain the highest safety standards for both the public and our team, traffic management, and safety services were expertly provided by FirstServices. Their coordination allowed for smooth operations throughout the project, ensuring a secure and efficient working environment.
